@filippospiga@joinmastodon I mean, I don’t get all the Titanic like panic I’m seeing around here for reasons that are becoming harder and harder to understand from this side of the ocean,
I am super excited to announce officially Monte Cimone, the first rack-mount RISC-V cluster with a fully operational #opensource HPC software stack running! Designed by @pulp_platform (@unibo) @e4company and @Cineca1969#RISCV https://t.co/3kR4LeJddj
@StuartJames800@heimbergecon Agreed. I don't know about the historical origins of this self disparaging attitude but it's quite clear that in the last 20 years it has been functional to push some EU related policies along the lines of we don't know how to rule ourselves, people in Brussels know better.
@tvaneerd@chandlerc1024@dyaroshev Nice discussion, thanks. One example I was thinking about is mdspan: all the ops needed by a md array view are available in IRs (e.g.: MLIR shape), but I'm not sure a compiler could deduce that kind of high level semantic transforms straight from a complex stl implementation.
@modocache Never used an M1 but my 2020 i7 13" pro is inexplicably sluggish in many desktop tasks. This is weird bc in other workloads (e.g. building llvm) it's brilliant. Something's definitely wrong, I suspect it has something to do with underpowered icelake gpu.
@llvmweekly sorry for bothering but I'm encountering some server errors while subscribing a new email address of mine, could you look into it pls? My PMs are open, many thanks!
