@Jacob_Naviaux If you already had the intent to lower the price during DD, then the initial offer was just done in bad faith since it wasn't DD itself that drove the price further down.
If DD legitimately uncovered additional information, fair game.
@Jacob_Naviaux No question about legality. But in terms of being a good human the main question comes down to whether or not DD actually uncovered additional info you weren't already pricing in? Or are you using DD as another opp to squeeze them since they're in a less optimal position?
@Seanfrank Had one, liked it, wouldn't come back for two reasons:
1) screws kept coming loose
2) over time the wallet screwed up the credit cards by rubbing off their finish such that I mentally designated two cards as the outside ones because they were already jacked up
Asking Google Slides AI to create INDEX+MATCH formula: 5 minutes later, not working, stuck in loop
Asking Claude to create same formula *only describing* the data in each column: 30 seconds later, working
Gemini π€¦π€¦π€¦
As @regulatorynerd said: https://t.co/vXyy5vRpYU
Tech slop rant. If I worked at Google, I'd be embarrassed by how siloed and disconnected Gemini is from G Suite. Like I'd be ashamed to tell people I'm the person who works on the Gemini<>G Suite team.
I have repeatedly tried to use Gemini to calendar events and invite other people. While Gemini has made advances and now will properly calendar the events, it simply will not invite the requested people.
It will lie to you and tell you it has! But it will not do it.
This basically makes the function worthless. When I put something on my calendar, it's because I need to share that event with someone else! If I'm bulk adding events, I don't want to have to then go into each event and add my attendees. I just want it done.
@ChanduThota Maybe I'm doing it wrong? Slides doesn't seem ready.
"Modify slide #2 to use the template"
"For now, I can only create and edit one slide at a time. You can ask to edit this slide or create a new one."
"Yes, edit slide 2"
"<same error>"
@ChanduThota Then "Add a slide covering the below information, using the design system." and copy all of the content from slide #2.
The result is... a slide. Barely follows the templates. IA is quite bad.
Claude Design does better, even accounting for the PPT->Slides conversion issues

@jasonfried Moved into house w/ hodge podge of smart tech. URC remotes were the worst. Awful design, must be official dealer to access the software to program remotes (necessary to change inputs, sequences, etc). Social engineered getting the software, but awful experience
@pitdesi Other comments hit on this but:
1) comorbidities / reverse causality (i.e. illnesses or medications that lower RHR but increase mortality)
2) mixing of age and risk profiles
Take a young(er), healthy, non-medicated group and RHR will show a more linear relationship w/ mortality
@Clara_Gold lol, sent a couple of screenshots to a couple of friends. one, who hadn't heard of Gigi, first response?
"what tf is this? I need <mutual friend>'s scores to know how i stack"
so, spot on observation!
Did @OpenAI turn on "reddit reviewer friend" mode? Starting today my responses are all full of emojis, profanities, and just informal writing generally. (Cleaning out basement and told ChatGPT I will give it model names and I want to know what it is and if it's still relevant)
@maiab Lifetime fitness is a luxe version of this. Same deal with our kids wanting to stay, and the kids have classes too. Art, music, gymnastics, yoga, puzzles, etc.
At least near me, facilities were much much nicer and less crowded than the Y.
