On this day 80 years ago, a Black 14-year-old boy named George Stinney Jr. was executed by the state of South Carolina for a crime he didn't commit. He was the youngest person executed in the U.S. in the 20th century, and was exonerated 70 years after his death.⁠

I remember #GeorgeStinney executed by the state of SC on June 16, 1944. This innocent boy was only 14 years old. If you are shocked by this case, nothing has changed. The death penalty is still alive, still the same barbaric and racist practice.

Congratulations are in order to the CPS. Apparently, they think it is reasonable to investigate a FoI request, by totally ignoring what was asked for, do utterly pointless research that they wasted a month to do and then claim it would cost too much and take too much long to do.

The actual issue was does the CPS review the cases of disgraced experts like Shorrock, who was struck from the Home Office Register of Forensic Pathologists? & doe the CPS have a spreadsheet of cases of such disgraced experts?
So what is the CPS' solution?
