For RCMP Members, showing up means serving communities across Canada with care, professionalism, and consistency. It means working as a team, adapting to what each situation calls for, and holding themselves to high standards every day.
Those same qualities are reflected on the Paralympic stage. Different arenas, different roles. Shared values.
Go Team Canada!
Today, on the International Day of Remembrance for Fallen Police Officers, we pause to honour those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their communities.
Behind every badge is a commitment to protect others, often at great personal risk. We remember the RCMP Members and law enforcement officers across Canada, and around the world, who have lost their lives in the line of duty, and we stand with their families, friends, and colleagues who continue to carry that loss.
Their service matters. Their sacrifice will never be forgotten.

Olympic-level dedication isn’t just for athletes — RCMP Members train in a similar way. 🏋️♂️
Cadets push limits with 5 workouts/week & the FPPC test, building the strength, endurance, and mental toughness needed to perform under pressure.

@Greenlightandgo@sereli1@dubsndoo Scranton Police Department? If ever there was a need for AI, this would be it. It could have told you there was no Scranton in Alberta or all of Canada.

@DevilsA62669071@yonkojohn@PierrePoilievre@CPC_HQ@liberal_party So he knew what a bad leader the Cons had yet still hitched his wagon to that horse? There’s the integrity issue and why if you want to change parties you should resign and have a by-election. If the voters have also changed their mind it shouldn’t be a problem..
@rgreening@yonkojohn And that was the ship he knowingly chose to sail on for the election. Resign, run for the new party and let the people decide. Having no loyalty to any party, I would say the same for any MP.
@DevilsA62669071@yonkojohn@PierrePoilievre@CPC_HQ Same leader since September ‘22. Same today as then and same as before becoming leader Same platform with very few changes amd same approach as with Trudeau, attack the character and one or two policies. He chose to run under Poilievre. Resign and let the people decide.
NPF President & CEO Brian Sauvé appeared before the House of Commons Public Safety Committee on Dec. 9 to discuss strengthening RCMP Members’ ability to support the removal of foreign nationals with criminal records who pose a risk to public safety.
While removals fall under CBSA, RCMP Members play a critical supporting role—from identifying high-risk individuals during frontline policing, intercepting people between ports of entry, and locating and arresting those evading deportation.
In his remarks, Brian highlighted three key areas for federal action:
☑️Dedicated resources and fenced federal policing funding
☑️Stronger, real-time information sharing and modernized privacy legislation
☑️Expanded joint task forces to improve coordination and accelerate removals
RCMP Members are committed to protecting communities, and these measures are essential to ensure they can continue to do so safely and effectively.
