🚨Tembisa Hospital is collapsing in plain sight.

213 vacant posts. No permanent CEO. Severe shortages of doctors, nurses, cleaners and critical medical equipment.

The Gauteng Health Department admits:
⚠️ Ventilator shortages could increase patient deaths
⚠️ Monitor shortages delay detection of deteriorating patients
⚠️ Sterilisation equipment shortages raise infection risks
⚠️ Infusion pump shortages risk overdoses and underdoses

Even basic items like wheelchairs, stretchers and drip stands are missing.

Meanwhile, fire damage from April last year still hasn’t been repaired because of “budget availability” - and the department admits it hasn’t even completed a full assessment of the damage.

This is the same hospital devastated by the R2 billion Tembisa corruption scandal.
