People blame Trump and the GOP of being pressure release valves for RW forces but the reality is that posting is the ACTUAL release valve.

People come on X and start their silly podcasts and pretend that they are doing something. They pretend that their posts are moving the needle and that they are formenting CHANGE with their digital rants.

Your civic duty doesn't end at the "post" button like 90% of this website thinks it does.

Have you EVER CALLED A REP. Have you ever yelled at their staffers. You and 4 other friends can go and place very real pressure on your representatives, and if not them then their staff who SURROUND THEM IN PERSON YEAR ROUND by doing the bare minimum.

Have you ever flown to DC? If you fly in and merely WALK TO THEIR OFFICE ON CAPITOL HILL they will meet with you. They will remember you. It's never been easier nor cheaper. Even before that HAVE YOU EVER SPOKEN TO THEM?

For all the ranting that you will do on this app have you ever once even TRIED to speak with the person you vote to represent you?

Have you ever campaigned for a candidate? Have you ever doornocked, phone banked, or literally anything? If the answer is "no" then you haven't even TRIED to get anywhere close to your civic duty.

It's so easy to say "there is no political option" and "we'll vote harder next time" but VOTING IS ALL YOU DO. As if that is where your duty ends.

Your civic duty, the duty your ancestors purchased with blood was to ENGAGE with the process at every level to your greatest ability, and when THAT ALL FAILS, as Jefferson put it “it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.”

No person that posts “we will vote harder next time” has put any effort in the real world and has engaged politically. All they do is just post.
