A promise made, a promise kept.

During my visit to #Dublin last June, I was reassured that #Ireland would make EU enlargement a top priority. From day one the Irish #Presidency of the Council of the EU has been delivering on that commitment.

This Tuesday, 14 July, will be a landmark day for EU enlargement, with four Intergovernmental Conferences taking place for Albania, Moldova, Montenegro and Ukraine.

#Albania will start the final phase of its accession negotiations by closing Chapters 25, 26 and 30, another significant milestone on its European accession path.

Thank you @Ireland2026EU and @ThomasByrneTD for turning political commitment into concrete progress.

Together, we can maintain the momentum on EU enlargement and bring #Europe closer to a united future.

The President of 🇦🇱 paid an official visit today to the Presheva Valley.

Discussions focused on addressing the challenges facing Albanians in the valley, strengthening political unity among Albanian representatives, and advancing projects aimed at creating better opportunities for the region’s youth.

Reaffirming Albania’s commitment, the President pledged continued support for efforts to address the concerns of the Albanian community, including fair representation in public institutions, the issue of address passivization, and the protection of the right to use the Albanian language and national symbols.

Ankara -- It was a pleasure to meet today with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Canada, @AnitaAnandMP. 🇦🇱🇨🇦

We reaffirmed the excellent relations between our two countries and agreed to further strengthen our political dialogue, step up our joint efforts to explore new opportunities for expanding cooperation, particularly in the areas of economy and trade. In this regard, we welcomed the recent launch of direct flights between #Tirana and #Toronto, which will further strengthen people-to-people ties and exchanges.

We agreed that the establishment of the Defence, Security and Resilience Bank, aimed at creating a multilateral financial mechanism to support the development of defence, security and resilience capabilities, will make an important contribution to advancing our shared objectives.

We also exchanged views on the current security dynamics in #Europe, developments in the Western #Balkans, #Albania's EU accession process, and reaffirmed our strong and unwavering support for #Ukraine.

J’ai eu le plaisir de rencontrer aujourd’hui une délégation de la Commission des affaires européennes de l’Assemblée nationale française, conduite par son Président, M. Pieyre-Alexandre Anglade, @PA_Anglade.

Nous avons échangé sur les dynamiques actuelles dans le cadre du processus d’élargissement de l’Union européenne, sur l’importance de préserver le rythme et la crédibilité du processus d’adhésion, ainsi que sur le rôle clé que joue la #France dans la construction d’une Europe plus forte, plus unie et plus stratégique.

J’ai réaffirmé notre conviction que l’Albanie, comme elle l’a déjà démontré, en particulier au cours des deux dernières années, reste pleinement déterminée à mener à bien les réformes et à avancer avec constance et détermination sur la voie de son avenir européen.

Dotée d’un plan clair, de résultats concrets et de l’ambition de devenir membre de l’Union européenne au cours de cette décennie, l’Albanie est résolue à saisir cette fenêtre d’opportunité historique, tout en contribuant à une Europe plus forte, plus sûre et plus unie.

America turns 250 years old. This is a celebration of the birth of the country, but also of what changed the course of history. It is a tribute to the country's sacred text, a profound statement of values, and to its often, and rightfully, quoted words: "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness."

But it is also a recognition of what America has become since: a place where people found not only refuge, but also the opportunity to live their lives more freely and more boldly than elsewhere.

Among them have been many from Kosova, who over the centuries fled political persecution and found the chance to live the life they deserved, but had been denied elsewhere.

The ideals proclaimed 250 years ago did not remain within America's borders. They found resonance in Kosova's own struggle for freedom and self-determination, and, most importantly, in the unwavering support of the United States for our fight to secure those very rights.

We honor the country whose contribution to our own independence, and to our own fight for "unalienable rights," has been so deeply woven into our history that the aspirations of human freedom expressed by the United States have become our aspirations as well.

📌 Në zemër të këtij procesit transformativ të zhvillimit qëndron një e vërtetë e thjeshtë: një shtet është aq i fortë dhe i përgjegjshëm sa është funksionale dhe e aftë administrata e tij. Vetëm një #administratë profesionale, me integritet dhe e qëndrueshme, mund të garantojë zbatimin e reformave, shërbimin cilësor ndaj publikut dhe realizimin e objektivave strategjikë të vendit.

📌 Gjatë procesit të #negociatave është krijuar një brez i ri nëpunësish publikë me ekspertizë të specializuar mbi acquis communautaire, metodologjinë e zgjerimit dhe koordinimin ndërinstitucional. Ky kapital njerëzor përfaqëson sot me njnjë nga asetet më të çmuara të shtetit shqiptar. Shqiptarët kanë arsye të jenë krenarë për skuadrën e tyre evropiane, për ekipin negociator dhe për administratën që ka dëshmuar se zotëron jo vetëm kapacitetet profesionale, por edhe besueshmërinë për të çuar përpara një proces kaq kompleks dhe vendimtar për të ardhmen e vendit.

📌 Ndërsa i afrohemi anëtarësimit, administrata jonë duhet të punojë çdo ditë me mendësinë e një administrate të një shteti anëtar. Kjo do të thotë më shumë #profesionalizëm, më shumë përgjegjësi dhe një kulturë institucionale që kupton se nesër do të kemi detyrën të mbrojmë jo vetëm interesat kombëtare të #Shqipërisë, por edhe interesin e përbashkët evropian, si pjesë e procesit të vendimmarrjes në Bashkimin Evropian.

📌 Kjo kërkon edhe një evolucion të vazhdueshëm të mënyrës se si funksionon administrata jonë: metoda pune më bashkëpunuese dhe më ndërvepruese, institucione që ndajnë ekspertizën dhe përgjegjësinë, si dhe një sistem rekrutimi dhe zhvillimi në karrierë gjithnjë e më të bazuar në meritë. Vlerësimi i performancës duhet të mbështetet në kritere objektive dhe të matshme, ndërsa puna dhe përkushtimi i nëpunësve publikë duhet të marrin edhe vlerësimin dhe mirënjohjen që meritojnë nga shoqëria.

📌 Një administratë moderne nuk ndërtohet vetëm për ditën e anëtarësimit. Ajo ndërtohet që sot, me standardet, kulturën dhe përgjegjësinë e një vendi që e sheh veten jo vetëm në prag të Bashkimit Evropian, por tashmë pjesë të hapësirës së tij institucionale dhe të vlerave që ai përfaqëson.

Albania strongly condemns the latest brutal #Russian attack on Kyiv, which killed and injured dozens of civilians and caused extensive damage to residential buildings. Our thoughts are with the victims, their families, and all those affected.

Once again, as #Ukraine continues to strengthen its ability to defend itself and impose increasing costs on Russia's war of aggression, the Kremlin has responded by intensifying its attacks against civilians and civilian infrastructure. This has become a clear and deeply disturbing pattern: when confronted with setbacks on the battlefield, Russia escalates its campaign of terror against civilian populations, choosing to inflict greater suffering on innocent people rather than change course.

Russia's deliberate and systematic targeting of Ukraine's residential neighborhoods and civilian infrastructure constitutes a grave violation of international humanitarian law. The killing of civilians, including children in last night's attack on Kyiv, once again underscore the indiscriminate and inhumane nature of Russia's actions.

#Albania stands in full solidarity with Ukraine and reaffirms its unwavering support for its sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity within its internationally recognized borders. Russia must be held accountable for its aggression and for all crimes committed against the Ukrainian people.
