If anyone cares about my online whereabouts, I've moved to @[email protected] and I think I'll be more active there in the new year. Twitter is a musky shitshow with too many adds and Nazis, and idgaf about the number of tweet views. Hope I see many of you in the fediverse.
📢 Looking for a postdoc to work on
- building fully reproducible QC-pipelines for large scale MRI data
- designing #machinelearning models for dataset comparison & harmonization
This is a unique opportunity:
- Great environment
- world-class resources
- lots of flexibility
Please RT! We are recruiting for two positions! Both are for recent grads, with a start date of Spring/Summer 2024. Great for people who want to do brain science, work in a fun envi, and prep for grad school (psych, neuro, etc). Info here: https://t.co/XI8xZW1UD2
Be part of the next newsletter for the International Brain Data Sharing Community! https://t.co/LdEriwqnQo
Share your news about tools, software, pipelines, privacy preserving tech, events or conferences (training, workshops, community), new initiatives.

Recently, Blender made its render engine available as a pip-installable Python package. I've just built an experimental Jupyter widget on top of that. Still experimental, but I see lots of potential for the scientific python visualization pipeline here!
Always super proud to see my lab defending Open Science values, especially with respect to engaging young people in our research. Thanks @yaratoenders for your amazing work @SYNClabEUR !
@HealthyStart_NL@ESSB_Erasmus
🚨Reminder that the Q&A session with some of our current Trustees is happening today at 4pm 🚨 Bring your questions about being a Trustee, the election process or about engaging with the RSE Society. For more information, see 👇🧵
We have two opportunities for funded PhDs starting in 2024. You would like to better understand analytical variability in neuroimaging? You like coding, especially neuroimaging pipelines? I am at #OHBM2023 and happy to chat!
RT appreciated ☺️

I’m quite used to the cruelty students can face when they apply for a US visa but this one broke me. We offered admission to a stellar, talented & hardworking student. After months of work and hundreds of dollars, an embassy officer saw him for 5 mins & said no. why? …
I am really thrilled to share our preprint on the Monotropism Questionnaire development & validation study.
Lots of you probably took part in this online survey last summer, led by my then-student @VSMGarau
We're incredibly proud of the work.

📢We are looking for a new colleague to further advance our beloved Data Stewardship @tudelftlibrary. Would you like to take the fun/challenging/fulfilling role as the Data Stewardship coordinator? Apply by 2 August https://t.co/35XbX5CgH6
We now have a record in the @helmholtz_de Software Directory: https://t.co/J5CDfQb0PX
This is a great place to get a quick overview on how people use DataLad, and what resources are available.
If you find something missing, or have a testimonial, please drop us a note! Thanks
In this video, I am showing how to reslice/resample two differently sized MRI data: https://t.co/HJ6f7QRg4F
For instance, reslicing 150x150x50 partial brain coverage image onto a 256x256x256 whole brain image. This makes array indexing easier for e.g. ROI analyses in scripting.
Thanks to the 60+ people who, over the last week, expressed their interest in a first conference on decentralized data management, DataLad, and git-annex!
The meeting will take place April 18-20 next year in Düsseldorf, Germany!
Data sharing in neuroimaging: are you based in Europe and interested in data sharing?
Please 🙏 help us by answering this very short survey (1 min long)
With @COST18206, our goal is to identify practical solutions for sharing brain data in Europe 🇪🇺

I may have won our hand-in-the-air endurance contest, but @andrea_e_martin schooled me in the world of theoretical language models that respect brain data & linguistics.
Lots of recurring friends: manifolds, neural dynamics, prediction, cutting cakes...
