In June 2022, the owners of Doncaster Sheffield Airport, @PeelLandP, announced plans to close the Airport citing a lack of commercial viability.

Since that date, @MyDoncaster @SouthYorksMCA and partners have been working tirelessly to find solutions to ensure there is a future for the Airport in Doncaster.

Following the official closure of Doncaster Sheffield Airport in November 2022, the Mayor of Doncaster, @MayorRos announced that a Compulsory Purchase Order will be prepared and the fight will go on to save the Airport.

@BusinessinDN recognises the huge economic value the Airport brings to the area, as well as the significant connectivity advantages to our businesses and future investors. We are therefore awaiting the outcome of any future legal processes before removing references to Doncaster Sheffield Airport from our webpages.
