@WinnieJ34038049@marie_altenau The opening scene IMO didn't put her in the best light I know she was kind of thrown on the spot but she didn't have to make a joke out of it and she definitely didn't have to throw tampons all over the floor that other people are going to have to clean up #XUengl20510
ATTENTION: It’s the March Gladness time of year again and this year we hope to try and top all other club sports teams at Xavier! The number of donations is what matters so whether you donate $5 or $1000, anything is greatly appreciated! https://t.co/5MYx77O3EF
@ava35337179 I agree, I personally think this would be a great book for seniors to read as it gives them a real taste of what college is like for a good part of the first semester.#fys03xu
@YungerAlex It is really impressive how well she matched it. I can think back to those first weeks of school and just noticing how different people were handling the new situation differently and how accurately real life was to Fangirl. #fys03xu
Overall I am very much enjoying fangirl. As someone who struggles with meeting new people, I relate heavily to what Cath is going through as I went through it the first couple of weeks at Xavier. I can't wait to see how she evolves as the book continues. #fys03xu
I have been a part of two fandoms in my life as I am a massive Star Wars and LOTR fan In those fandoms there are so many different groups of people with different ideas and lingo that I can't even fathom them all Being able to understand them is definitely a superpower. #fys03xu
@maddiepaul34@giantaward I think gatekeeping is a massive problem in the fandom community. For super-serious fans, they may want to be seen as the number one fan which may lead them to push down everyone else so they feel on top. Which is sad because fandoms should bring a community together #fys03xu
@TeahHowell Its incredible how many different lingo there is, even within the two fandoms i consider myself a part of I don't understand some of the language being used I can't imagine what it feels like to someone looking at it for the first time

I completely agree that Emerging Adulthood can make parents panic and think their kids have something wrong with them I think it is hard to see their child making these mistakes but at a certain point you have to sit back and just make sure they don't go off the deep end #fys03xu
I love the sixth stage of the adult hood being caring for others. I think that is the moment when you truly become an adult as you realize there are many things more important than yourself which can be a great dilemma for younger people. #fys03xu
@AdamMaida15 I feel like even as full-blown adults you are always learning about yourself. Its something that gives you a challenge and keeps life interesting #fys03xu
@farfsings2 That was by far my biggest fear of going to college. How was I supposed to get here and just know how to be an adult when I didn't feel any different.I agree these articles were relieving as I realized I was not alone in the matter #fys03xu
I think people are overstating how similar we and the silent generation are.Yes we lived through similar crises but we are also living in an entirely different world than them. The world has changed so much since then that it is almost impossible to compare them together #fys03xu
@MeganLa28764303 I think every generation should be a slight improvement on the previous. However, that can be all up to perspective as well, it all depends on what you determine improvement as for that will differ greatly depending on what beliefs you hold #fys03xu
@AdamMaida15 It's actually the exact opposite, I have met some of my closest friends online and have had times where my online friends I was closer with than my friends from real life. The friends you make online you will always be able to choose and that makes them the best. #fys03xu
