My first 2 years in professional baseball in the Pioneer league for the Grand Junction Jackalopes I learned various of different things during my experience. Going from Junior college where I didn’t pitch and to a NAIA where I did not face elite competition this what I learned.
@Jsudds44@kinebase@PDPAthletics The video on the left. Pelvis rotating down hill transferring more energy through the chain and faster. Shoulder working downhill. Second slide kid is throwing uphill and energy doesn’t have enough time to rotate throughout his kinetic chain.
@mavrickace@LADodgersMuse Stick to being out of shape and pretending like your Dodger takes mean anything😂 I’m sure they’ll ask for your advice one day👍🏽 (this guy knows ball!)
@mavrickace@LADodgersMuse Yes that’s retarded telling a guy who hit .400 in the spring to “work on his swing mechanics” compared to a guy who hit in the 100s is embarrassing
@mavrickace@LADodgersMuse Yes my argument is that he should have an opening day spot and he was sent to AAA cause there are politics involved and the Dodgers aren’t the best at running there org sometimes.
@mavrickace@LADodgersMuse Kim put up good enough numbers to prove himself last year does not matter that he came from a different league and he adds more value with his speed and versatility on defense. Also hitting 400 this spring and playing well for his country. “Focusing on things?”
@mavrickace@LADodgersMuse This has nothing to do with it. Kim spent plenty of big league time last year with them and gave them enough ABs this spring to earn his spot in the team. Clearly he out performed Freeland. The truth of the matter is that there are politics involved in MLB orgs like in any other.
So many guys are having issues with leaking energy in their delivery. Glove side plays a big role in how well you can keep energy directed towards home. No such thing as a quick fix when it comes to pitching mechanics but this is a cue and drill that can help a lot of arms out.
Lead leg is more important and influential than most think. Lead leg can influence how much force you put in the ground and how much energy your lower half transfers to your torso.
One of my favorite drills to keep the lower half closed. Pitchers that are having issues with keeping the front hip closed in the delivery. This drill will guide you on the feel of the lead leg. Throw out every other lower half stay closed drill you have.
