Sadly some enterprise CTO just try to cover their ass, giving away their IP to the cloudsters. See O365 already having ALL your IP and decision-evaluations through emails etc.

Yes, so for UGs there is a standard contract and the fee of the notary is also standardized and fixed. That can be as less than 60 euros if you go for a capital of under 7k EUR. It's called "Musterprotokoll".
GmbHs can be founded by 12.500 EUR in capital, whereas the founder has to know, he is obligated to come up with the other 12.500 EUR, in case of legal-obligations.
I've founded several companies in DE, from UG to GmbH and AG - and honestly? Never found it taking too long or expensive.
