I worry Democrats will do everything possible to stymie SpaceX if they win the presidency in 2028. Very happy we are at least Texas incorporated, headquartered, and, finally, tomorrow,Texas-listed
First few weeks, yes. I understand your point. Historically, that’s what we’ve seen after IPO. I just don’t think we can apply that pattern to something that clearly breaks the mold. I can see it popping 100-200%, and then coming down 30-60% from peak. But I don’t see it ever being worth 50% of IPO price. That’s absurd imo
@LynAldenContact@leadlagreport Is it because you don’t believe in the company long term? Or is it because you won’t return as large a profit as you’d like in a short amount of time?
People think insiders are going to sell everything, and it’s not true. They will sell some, but most insiders believe in the company and want to hold for 10+ years. Most have had opportunities to sell at multiple high valuations, and what we have seen is they sell a little and hold a significant amount.
Retail needs to approach this as a 5-10+ year hold and investment in their future. If the goal is to make a quick profit, then they are better off taking higher risks on lower value companies.
If everyone stays in, everybody wins.
@bjeansonne@BigWayne111@chartingthemkt This guy thinks SpaceX doesn’t have a chance to make a profit at any point. This is why you don’t take financial advice from lawyers
@alex451g If you’re a long term investor, then it should be a no brainer buy. The only people not buying are the ones who either are just trying to make a quick buck within a few weeks, or the people that hate Elon. It is still very much a growth company with money to be made
@GN1TECS@drboycewatkins1 There’s no crash coming. The paradigm has shifted and these guys are using ancient models. They will be left behind. These are imbeciles who are bummed they can’t make a quick buck at its price. Probably a disgruntled Tesla holder
@billfour@SpaceX@Jefferies How many of those companies were over $1T valuation with their own rockets, satellites, and AI, and also owned by Elon Musk?
