@theroyalparks Fantastic to hear parking charges will be brought in at Richmond Park. Bishops Park, Hampstead Heath etc - most other parks already have fees. Why should it be free to park a car in Richmond Park, encouraging driving & meaning extra congestion/pollution? Well done @theroyalparks!

@willnorman @MayorofLondon Fantastic news! East Sheen is split with those inside the South Cirular benefiting & those outside it not having the same opportunities. It will be great to have the scheme extended. Next we need a CPZ to stop Sheen being a free car park for south west London.

@willnorman If Birmingham is going to benefit from a full fleet of electric busses & cycle lanes, it makes no sense that London is not also enjoying these. When will @TfL provide protected cycle lanes on the A205 & A305 & when will we get electric busses on the same stretches of road?

What improvements we have seen in air quality by the closure of Sheen Gate, we are seeing diminished by locals burning wood. Then add in the fact this area is not in the ULEZ & we will soon have double-whammy of poor air.

Officers at #RichmondPark have just dealt with a collision involving an eleven year old child and a cyclist. The child was crossing the road on the raised crossing at Sheen Cross (pictured). Please can all park users take extra care on the closed roads at the weekends.

(But protected cycle lanes on A205, A305 & B353 would be massive help - please prioritise these roads @TfL @LBRUT.)

@jitensha_oni Many stations in Richmond would benefit from lifts over railway tracks, especially with the amount of development planned... Hard for those with buggies, kids on bikes, heavy luggage, elderly etc to cross using the stairs.

@MumsForLungs This article is really worth a read. So many wood-burning stoves, & now fire pits, around locally. Given we’re about to be impacted by the ULEZ, it’s surprising that burning wood recreationally is still permitted. Hard-hitting.

Reduced through-traffic, extended trial closure of Sheen Gate & parking fees (subject to approval). What a lot in 3 years!

@AlexanderEhmann Wrongly assumed the lane closure was for building a new protected cycle lane. What a disappointment & wasted opportunity. Still, it does mean vehicles will be able to queue a few metres ahead of where they would have queued, had @tfl built a state-of-the-art cycle lane instead.

@AlexanderEhmann @LBRUT Fantastic news. A CPZ will also help with regards discouraging drivers of non-complaint ULEZ vehicles from using Parkside as a free park & ride to avoid the ULEZ fee.

@andree_frieze @theroyalparks @LBRUT Let’s hope @LBRUT introduce a CPZ to Parkside ASAP. This will prevent the area being to a free park & ride for commuters coming to Zone 3, & from October 2021, a free ULEZ-non-compliant vehicle car park.
