⚜️ RÉFLEXION… Nous sommes 9 millions de Québécois.

⚡ Une électricité presque entièrement renouvelable, principalement hydroélectrique.

🌎 1,67 million de km² de territoire.

💧 Environ 3,6 millions de plans d'eau douce.

🌲 Environ 900 000 km² de forêts.

Les arbres et les forêts sont parmi les principaux mécanismes naturels qui retirent du CO₂ de l'atmosphère, par photosynthèse. Ils stockent ensuite ce carbone dans le bois, les racines, la matière organique et surtout les sols.

À l'échelle mondiale, les forêts et autres terres absorbent environ un tiers du carbone émis par les activités humaines.

Le Grand New York compte près de 20 millions d'habitants.

👉 Toute la population du Québec, c'est moins de la moitié de la population de la ville de NEW YORK.

👉 Et New York City entrerait plus de 2 000 fois dans le territoire québécois.

Pendant ce temps, les États-Unis — plus de 340 millions d'habitants — n'ont pas de taxe carbone nationale comparable à celle imposée ici.

Et nous, 9 millions, on continue de payer pour le carbone.

Ma réflexion est simple : Avec toute la nature, les plans d'eau, les forêts et les immenses espaces verts que nous avons au Québec, nous n'avons aucune raison de continuer à nous faire imposer toujours plus de coûts au nom du carbone.

Notre pouvoir d'achat diminue. Le coût de la vie explose. Et on continue de nous faire payer.

Hummm… je peux en ajouter encore…

Si ça, ça ne vous fait pas travailler les neurones et ne vous démontre pas qu'on se fait fourrer à mort…

In 2025, total energy supply, as measured in exajoules (EJ), rose by 1.7% over 2024 to just over 600 EJ.

Oil continued to be the largest source, providing 201 EJ, or one third of the world’s needs, followed by coal, which provided 166 EJ. Natural gas provided almost 151 EJ. Thus, the three fossil fuels provided 518 EJ, or 86% of the world’s primary energy supply. Nuclear energy provided 31 EJ, Hydroelectricity 16 EJ and Renewables 35.45 EJ. The highly touted renewables thus provided only 6% of the world’s primary energy supply.

Global oil production in 2025 was 100.6 million barrels per day The OECD countries produced one third of that production (33.237 million barrels per day) and the non-OECD countries produced 67.352 million barrels per day. In 2025, total liquids consumption was 106.5 million barrels per day, an increase of 1.4 million barrels per day from 2024.

Global natural gas consumption in 2025 was 4,186 billion cubic metres, or 150.7 EJ, an increase of just 55 billion cubic metres over 2024. The United States was by far the largest consumer, with 913.4 billion cubic metres, followed by Russia, with 480 billion cubic metres and China with 441.9 billion cubic metres.

Global coal consumption in 2025 was 166 EJ, a slight increase of 0.68 EJ over 2024. China dominates the coal market, consuming 92.24 EJ, or 55.6% of the world’s total. https://t.co/51XnZ96edF

is by 2 authors, one from the Hudson Inst in DC and the other a professor at the Naval Postgrad Academy in CA. They trace the links between China and the western Net Zero movement, which is partly financial, but works mostly through influence operations by which the CCP gains exemption from criticism by western green groups despite its own coal-intensive and slave labor-dependent growth strategy.

is by Richard Dearlove, former head of MI5, explaining how China's influence ops in the UK led to deindustrialization and a precarious dependence on China; to the extent that the UK could not now reindustrialize or stabilize its electricity grid without seeking assistance from Beijing.
Dearlove's paper raises the possibility that a security agency like MI5 saw a threat building but was unable to address it because of a perception that climate science forbids criticizing Net Zero and related measures. A question I think worth asking is whether western intelligence agencies have internalized the green Net Zero mindset thereby preventing them from challenging the climate alarmism so effectively weaponized by the CCP. And if they now want to start doing so, would they know how, or have the capacity to do so.
