@panasao@turtlekiosk You’re just proving their point, this is a game that’s completely centered around gameplay mechanics. It is not remotely what op is describing as an “immersive experience”
@DankLordNeato@SPG642 It’s not really that inconsistent in my experience, it just requires you to take a few steps after the turn as opposed to previous games where it could be done instantly
@gee_skippy@BenjiGameDev You get it. It’s worth noting, though, that Kojima absolutely cooks when he actually lets the gameplay breathe and isn’t just sprinting towards the next cutscene. Shame he just can’t help himself, but at least we got games like the og Splinter Cells too
@TwoSk8boards Absolutely insane take. Just off the top off my head there’s Armored Core VI, Cyberpunk 2077, Pragmata, Death Stranding, Returnal, Nier: Automata, and probably a few more
@BLTDFF@FriskyDingo94@MorePerfectUS The politicians don’t care because the corporations you’re investing in are lining their pockets. Do you honestly not see the feedback loop here?
@YourDudeAedus@hatsgone@Dreamboum In name only. For anyone not deluding themselves, it’s an interactive animated movie. A good one, too, but not a game.
@YourDudeAedus@hatsgone@Dreamboum It absolutely does mean this lol. If I make a “novel” and 95% of it is a picture book with little to no prose, it’s not really much of a novel, is it?
@haalaphrodykee Absolutely moronic. Dialogue isn’t what defines a film, moving images & the editing of those images together are what define the medium. There are no films that lack these aspects. Vocals are still music, & art installations are a far more abstract & loosely defined medium.
@Jay2Goat_ I’ll put this in the simplest terms once more before I waste any more time: if you sell a quality product, backed by quality software, at a significantly more accessible entry point than the competition, then yes, people will be more lenient at the thought of a slight price bump.
@Jay2Goat_ I can see how it comes across that way if you’re functionally illiterate or willingly ignoring every point I brought up to contextualize the reception to Nintendo’s case. Not to mention that they’re announcing this several months in advance, not a week or two like the competition
@Jay2Goat_ It’d still be literal hundreds of dollars cheaper than the competition, and again, with more games to show for it. Oh, and it’s one model across the board with no need to pay a premium for the one that can play physical games. Why is this so hard to understand?
@FloopMother@jorgertg98 Bro c’mon, the show in its absolute best moments is like an 8/10 tops. At its lowest, it’s easily a 5, especially with how visually bland it is. Never so bad that it becomes irredeemable garbage with no merit, but it does get painfully mediocre at least a couple times per season
@sabooschin@wickskiller I don’t think that was setting up the return of humans, that’s gonna be way down the line when the astronauts from Rise come back. If anything, Kingdom was likely setting up the final conflict that wipes out humans & leaves behind all that advanced tech for the apes to learn from
