With Eid-ul-Fitr confirmed for Friday, 20th March 2026, the time to act is now

Zakat-ul-Fitri is meant to reach the needy before the Eid prayer, so they can prepare & celebrate the blessed day with dignity and ease

Delaying it may deprive vulnerable families of its true purpose

Ibn Abbas رضي الله عنه narrated,

‘The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) enjoined Zakat al-fitr on the one who fasts (Ramadan) to purify him from any indecent act or speech and for the purpose of providing food for the needy.

It is accepted as Zakat for the person who pays it before the Eid prayer, and it is sadaqah for the person who pays it after the Eid prayer.’ [Abu Dawud]

Nothing relieves the heart and makes one happy more than thinking well of others.

It protects one from the harm of worrisome thoughts that disturb his peace of mind and exhaust the body.
