Definitely forestry industry, NOT the tax payer, should pick up the bill to remove slash they created! Tax payers will be picking up a lot to help with recovery and rebuild!

There’s a discussion to be had about the real value of forestry, including the cost of externalities, but in the meantime if I was a high-up in the forestry industry I’d be mobilising heroic levels of resources and cash to help out right now. Their social license is at stake.
