@MiocanDanijel@EnzoGonz99@MohammedAlo Andrew is completely ignoring that there is a third option of actually just eating a healthy diet and taking your meds which likely could have preventing this.
@MiocanDanijel@EnzoGonz99@MohammedAlo We have clear evidence that sky high ApoB would cause plaque over time, but I agree that it's lifetime exposure to artery damage etc that caused this and not just the carnivore diet.
I was responding to Andrew. Nobody here is claiming SAD is healthy, just carnivore won't halt it
@devabram Nor does it rely on the premise that suffering automatically creates moral duty. It only relies on the premise that there is wilful cluelessness (usually) when people eat farmed animal products. Most haven't done the work of grokking the consequences & moral theory.
@devabram None of this relies on the premise that non-human pain has the same status as human pain, only that non-human pain (and non-human preferences) are worthy of moral consideration. You can say that kicking a dog is better than kicking a human if you like, but it's clearly wrong.
@devabram Notice my tweet had nothing to do with hypocrisy.
If someone paid someone else to kick a dog so they could watch, my criticism wouldn't be "you're a hypocrite because you would never kick that dog yourself".
Nor was there any shame strategy. It was an example of your own point.
@devabram@onehappyfellow The best example of this is people eating farmed animal products. They know that pigs are kept in cages so small that they can't turn around their whole lives, and that they scream in terror when they arrive at the slaughterhouse, but they choose not to think about it for ego.
@TheGingerBill Yum. I've noticed the vegan meats taste basically just as good now, but I prefer to support animal torture because it feels more manly haha.
@rickygervais But I like it when you discuss the issues you care about like animal rights and you're the only celeb I really see doing it? Your last comedy special was mostly a lecture and it was good, even though it wasn't as funny.
@umm_rit_@ahinsic Nope. She last e-mailed me in August, and I didn't see the e-mail and reply until December. Hopefully she's doing well. Twitter gets repetitive after a while & becomes a waste, but I'd love to see her make more content in video/podcast form, and ignore the comment section.
@IndicGames@theo I think he's referring to the fact that more young adults find it acceptable than unacceptable. But it shouldn't be surprising in a country that supports farming animals for meat.
@ZKForTre@natebirdman @BobBrow29290262 You demand exact thresholds from me when you haven't even done that yourself, won't even provide a rough definition, and *you* are the one who made the claim that their anatomy (not just their genitals) is female.
We can agree on the final point.
@ZKForTre@natebirdman @BobBrow29290262 If they have Y chromosome *&* an apparent physical advantage over the females, I think it'd be reasonable to make a subjective judgement to exclude them from a sport like this on that basis, even without any additional objective test beyond the Y chromosome test.
@ZKForTre@natebirdman @BobBrow29290262 If someone has illegally high testosterone at any point in their career, they should probably be barred from female sport, especially a sport like this, regardless of their sex or genitals. 1/2
