I am sitting at home with no grid electricity. Apparently a move to save power. Couple of km away there is a cricket match under flood lights. #AUSvsSL
There were a few things I've always wanted to get done and put it off for later due to lack of time. After a couple of weeks in lockdown, I've come to realise that 'lack of time' wasnt the problem. #procrastination
What % of Sri Lankan companies (public & private) can actually work from home (IT industry is probably the exception)? My guess is less than 5%. Most don't have the digital infrastructure nor preparedness.
@nilushashiv Yes, that is case in most places. I think people don't understand the gravity of the situation or are more worried about making ends meet. The govt also needs to be more decisive.
I think the govt needs to announce a #LockDownSL
or curfew in order to get people staying at home. Otherwise Sri Lankans seem to think this is just an extended holiday and go about their casual business. It makes the whole exercise pointless. #COVID19
The govt needs to be more clear w.r.t. #LockDownSriLanka
or declaring holidays. "Requesting" private sector give days off past midnight has resulted in half the country working and people confused. Not effective! Need clear and unambiguous communication #COVID2019#SriLanka
