I work with the team at Serverless Inc (@goserverless) as a Customer Success Manager because I have used their product for more than 5 years and love it!
Its amazing what can inspire you to get something done. Had a blog post sitting around I've been picking at for months. @astuyve made a post yesterday about the same topic and it galvanized me to action. Behold: https://t.co/EVyjSGYoKg
@itsfreddyrb @goserverless@AxiomFM I'm with @goserverless support. Would love to help here! Could we start by DMing me as there may be some sensitive data to look at and we can then post resolution publicly afterwards for anyone else to see if you wish?
@Grady_Booch True but necessary. As the complexity of what we build goes up we require the abstractions in order to move forward. Imagine trying to build a web app using basic binary logic with 0 abstractions
How does ANYONE look at Microsoft's recent reveal of Recall and think "That's a great idea. Thanks Microsoft for taking MORE of my data and using it anyway you please".
Something I started coming to a while back and felt almost dirty contemplating is that; developers abstract too much. We build systems for the what if scenario instead of just solving the problem you need to solve. Seems to be a more common take lately. https://t.co/lMBoiWFr9c
@Benoit_Boure I have found it is easier to break larger services down into smaller ones than merge them back together. So starting with very coarse services is often better and reduces complexity when getting started.
@mthenw The fundamental problem they solve is productivity. Without abstractions the modern web is impossible. Coding the entire stack for the web using only binary and no abstractions (no languages, OS, compilers, web servers, etc) would make the task impossible
@gabsmashh Supplements are entirely unnecessary unless your doctor has actually determined a medical reason to have it such as pregnant women needing iron for example. The vast majority of the supplement industry is a scam that actually causes more harm than good.
@drissamri88@radzikowski_m@Benoit_Boure Of course. We are still working on exactly what the pricing terms look like. We are busy getting feedback from users currently that are helping us see what that looks like
@drissamri88@goserverless@SST_dev The serverless world needs innovation especially as needs for teams includes containers more and there are a ton of use cases to meet. We are a small team at Serverless and need to find a way to meet those needs and be sustainable, hence 80% revenue share with extension authors
@drissamri88@radzikowski_m@Benoit_Boure And even this is more of a guideline than a hard and fast rule. Serverless is so variable in implementation that having a single model for payment becomes tricky
@astuyve WELCOME! It's the perfect time of the year. The summer tourists are busy heading home and the searing heat is just cooling off. Hope you love it!
@dasfilament_de Can't get to the blog, it just redirects back to home page. Anyway to get these profiles <3 your filament and will be nice to have pre-crafted profiles added!
