Received a call from a French-CBC reporter this week.

Reporter: “I’ve been told that we’re no longer allowed to speak with you, and La Presse is encouraging us to distance ourselves from you because of what you wrote about media subsidies. Is that true?”

Me: “Quite possibly. La Presse and Radio-Canada are like peas and carrots: when one cancels you, the other tends to follow. It’s unfortunate—especially since I wholeheartedly support public broadcasting.”

When you listen to the news—any news—pay close attention to the experts they invite and what they say; more and more are being canceled by the public broadcaster just because we actually say what we think.

My sincere thanks to the courageous reporter who had the guts to call me and explain what was going on.

There will be consequences in the balkanization of Canada. Some good some bad. Telling us that everything will be hunky dory for Albertans in the event of separation is probably not true.

Some serious questions for separatists.
1. What happens to our pensions realizing that the funds are under control of Canada?
2. Health care. What have you got to replace our current system?
3. International relations. What does it get China, the US to recognize Alberta? The US ambassador has stated that the US has alternative suppliers to Canadian oil (Venezuela, Indonesia, Africa).
4. Defense. How do we fund it?
5. The world is going to help us out because we are nice guys?

Cathie Wood just explained why the establishment will never stop coming for Elon Musk.

And the reason is worse than they think.

A solved problem is an existential threat to every institution built to solve it. Kills the funding. Kills the committee. Kills every career that exists to manage the crisis rather than end it.

Edison was hated too. By the people who sold candles. Every revolution looks like an attack to the people it makes obsolete.

Wood: “What we learn about material science and technologies… is going to help us here on Earth as well.”

SpaceX is not an escape. It is a forge. Build under the most brutal conditions in the solar system and every breakthrough comes home.

Most people at his level stop building and start protecting what they have.

Musk picks the hardest unsolved problem on Earth and runs straight at it.

That is not what terrifies them. What terrifies them is he does it without their funding, without their approval, without a single thing they can hold over his head.

A man you cannot buy is a man you cannot control. And a man you cannot control who keeps solving the problems you profit from is the most dangerous human alive.

They will spend their careers trying to tear him down.

Their grandchildren will live in the world he built anyway.

My Generation Is Blind to the Prosperity Around Us!
I'm sitting in a small coffee shop near Nokomis (Florida) trying to think of what to write about. I scroll through my newsfeed on my phone looking at the latest headlines of presidential candidates calling for policies to "fix" the so-called injustices of capitalism. I put my phone down and continue to look around.

I see people talking freely, working on their MacBook's, ordering food they get in an instant, seeing cars go by outside, and it dawned on me. We live in the most privileged time in the most prosperous nation and we've become completely blind to it.

Vehicles, food, technology, freedom to associate with whom we choose.These things are so ingrained in our American way of life we don't give them a second thought.

We are so well off here in the United States that our poverty line begins 31 times above the global average. Thirty One Times!!!

Virtually no one in the United States is considered poor by global standards. Yet, in a time where we can order a product off Amazon with one click and have it at our doorstep the next day, we are unappreciative, unsatisfied, and ungrateful. ??

Our unappreciation is evident as the popularity of socialist policies among my generation continues to grow. Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez recently said to Newsweek talking about the millennial generation, "An entire generation, which is now becoming one of the largest electorates in America, came of age and never saw American prosperity."

Never saw American prosperity! Let that sink in.

When I first read that statement, I thought to myself, that was quite literally the most entitled and factually illiterate thing I've ever heard in my 26 years on this earth. Many young people agree with her, which is entirely misguided.

My generation is being indoctrinated by a mainstream narrative to actually believe we have never seen prosperity. I know this first hand, I went to college, let's just say I didn't have the popular opinion, but I digress.

Why then, with all of the overwhelming evidence around us, evidence that I can even see sitting at a coffee shop, do we not view this as prosperity? We have people who are dying to get into our country.

People around the world destitute and truly impoverished. Yet, we have a young generation convinced they've never seen prosperity, and as a result, we elect some politicians who are dead set on taking steps towards abolishing capitalism.

Why? The answer is this,?? my generation has only seen prosperity. We have no contrast. We didn't live in the great depression, or live through two world wars, the Korean War, The Vietnam War or we didn't see the rise and fall of socialism and communism.

We don't know what it's like to live without the internet, without cars, without smartphones. We don't have a lack of prosperity problem. We have an entitlement problem, an ungratefulness problem, and it's spreading like a plague."

I am truly perplexed that so many people are against mosques being built...

I think it should be the goal of every Western Society to be tolerant regardless of their religious beliefs. Thus mosques should be allowed, in an effort to promote tolerance.

That is why I also propose that two nightclubs be opened next door to the mosque, thereby promoting tolerance from within the mosque. We could call one of the clubs, which would be gay, "The Turban Cowboy ", and the other a topless bar called "You Mecca Me Hot."

Next door should be a butcher shop that specializes in pork, and adjacent to that an open-pit barbecue pork restaurant, called "Iraq o' Ribs."

Across the street there could be a lingerie store called "Victoria Keeps Nothing Secret ", with sexy mannequins in the window modeling the goods.

Next door to the lingerie shop there would be room for an adult sex toy shop, "Koranal Knowledge ", its name in flashing neon lights, and on the other side an off-licence called "Morehammered."

All of this would encourage Muslims to demonstrate the tolerance they demand of us, so their mosque issue would not be a problem for others.

So we let the religious nuts of Iran continue to murder and kill their way across the Middle East? Crushing Iran’s. Israel will have no peace until the destruction of current regime is accomplished. Unfortunately, this will require boots on the ground. Do the Americans have the moral courage to do this? Not to blame them, I doubt Canada will support was is necessary. Chalk up a victory for the Islamists. Is this what we want?

We are seeing an alarming rise in antisemitism across the country, and the incident that occurred on Tuesday night is a stark reminder of that. For an individual to belligerently confront me because they believed I was Jewish is shocking and unacceptable. Worse than that, however, was the antisemitic diatribe that followed — blaming Jews for a myriad of issues.

In NY-17, I’m proud to represent one of the largest Jewish populations in the United States, and I will always stand up for them and for all of my constituents.
