Introducing Gemini 4 Carbon, it's a big jump over Argon which we released just 2 weeks ago.
Gemini 4 Carbon is SOTA on cyber, long horizon tasks, ranks #1 on Artificial Analysis V5, significantly improves on usability in domains like coding, and is more aligned.
When I was younger, everyone promised that the Intel Ohio plant would modernize the state. They failed at that job, but now I watch Anduril turning Ohio into a center of innovation in the Midwest and it feels like no one outside of universities and VC’s know anything about it
BlueChip. Built in America.
America made the first electronic computer to win a war.
Now we depend on our greatest adversaries to build the computers that run our economy and defend our nation.
Today, we bring it home.
I built an algorithm that can predict speech and debate results with ~80% accuracy. Now @rohanbatra44 and I are working on launching predictive speech and debate software to bring competitors and coaches into the modern era. Early demo here: https://t.co/lrrUxMUhLM
5 ideas I want to work on
1. AI managed rankings for speech and debate. I’ve been doing this for 3 years now (one by hand, 2 by AI) for the state championship and it was actually pretty accurate. A website that tracks it all with a subscription would be in high demand
2. App that calculates probability of planes getting delayed and finds the next best option for a flight based on airline, rewards, pricing, & time
3. Political Data Aggregator that tracks donor networks to help nonprofits, companies, and politicians with their sales (halfway there)
4. An agent that writes me an email every morning about every significant headline/tweet about a company in my portfolio
5. AI for community banking m&a. 0 ai adoption rn and it’s a growing market
The older I get the more I think markets operate like election cycles. October surprises, people vote for bad candidates/stocks, and actual results that sometimes make no sense.
So much pandering when most people have no idea what they’re doing.
@SmallCapSnipa That’s why prepayments and long contracts exist … who was the analyst that didn’t realize the market is already at 50% GPU prepayments before data centers are even built
It’s like saying a person needs to put 100% down to own a home. Terrible report from Gartner
Read a good article today about how companies are willing to spend far more on building their own systems with ai rather than subscribing to another service/company, which is why everyone is so worried about saas, but it made me realize maybe the apocalypse will hit AIaas.
At the pace we are about to reach in AI advancement, won’t all of these AIaas companies that have been raising VC funds for years just get eviscerated when their companies and services can be built in a day?
I would imagine the answer is yes; only if their clients are the same ones building in house.
Even though I wasn’t born yet this feels like the modern equivalent of the release of excel.
Vast amounts of unorganized data spread across thousands of places simplified and structured by an (intuitive) online service.
As excel did to paper, Jev does to agent outputs?
After co-inventing ChatGPT, I kept asking myself: why have superhuman chat models not led to AGI?
I’ve spent the last 2 years in stealth building a new way to train models (RLCD), and a new type of frontier AI model that we are releasing today: Jev
• 20-200x faster
• 40-400x cheaper (w/ output tokens free)
• Frontier composable intelligence optimized for decisions
AFAICT the shortest path to AI-based economic revolution
AI attacks don’t have to be one sided. A nation under attack is obviously getting attacked at the expense of their own humanity + the attacker will do anything and everything to reach that goal.
But no nation under attack sits quietly at the hands of their oppressor.
Why act like the basic concepts of warfare don’t apply to the digital world? We are building intelligence after all which will lead to heavy resources allocated toward defense.
Autonomous agent swarms can protect against attacks just as any real war (whether one sided or not) HAS prevention to some extent. No one will sit defenseless, but they have to realize that defense will be needed soon.
We’re in the Russia invading Crimea/Germany taking Rhineland moment. Defense buildup starts now before attacks become mainstream.
