🚨 NHAI has completed the excavation breakthrough of the 3.68-km tunnel in Andhra Pradesh.

📍 Porumamilla–Sitaramapuram, connecting Kadapa and Nellore districts.

The tunnel is part of the Bengaluru–Kadapa–Vijayawada Economic Corridor (NH-544G) and is targeted for completion by mid-2027.

I extend my warm greetings to all on the auspicious occasion of Vinayaka Chavithi.

May Lord Ganesha bless every family with wisdom, good health, peace, happiness and prosperity. May this sacred festival fill our homes and hearts with devotion and joy.

Through the Andhra Pradesh Pollution Control Board (APPCB), the Government of Andhra Pradesh has conducted a statewide awareness campaign to encourage Eco-Friendly Ganesh celebrations, including the distribution of clay idols free of cost.

It is heartening to see children, students and members of the public across Andhra Pradesh actively participating in awareness programmes and clay-idol making activities, carrying the spirit of Eco-Friendly Ganesh celebrations into communities across the State.

I particularly appreciate the Tirupati Municipal Corporation for taking the lead in creating an artificial immersion pond, which can serve as a model for other Urban Local Bodies across Andhra Pradesh.

Let this Vinayaka Chavithi be a celebration of devotion, tradition and our shared responsibility towards nature.

May Lord Ganesha bless Andhra Pradesh and its people.

తిరుపతి వెళ్లే దారిలో కడప నుండి దాదాపు 15 కి.మీ. దూరంలో భాకరాపేట దగ్గర ఒక ఆశ్రమం ఉంది. అది దీనులకు ఆశ్రయమిచ్చే కల్పవల్లి. దిక్కులేని వాళ్ళు, కన్న బిడ్డలచే వెళ్లగొట్ట బడిన ముసలి వాళ్ళు చేరే చివరి మజిలీ. వాళ్ల కట్టే కడదేరే వరకూ అక్కడే. అంత్య క్రియలు కూడా చేస్తారు. కాశీకి వెళ్లి అందరికీ పిండ తర్పణాలు వదులుతారు.
ఇవన్నీ చేసేది ఏ పెద్ద కోటీశ్వరుడో అనుకుంటారేమో. కాదు. సామాన్యుల్లో అసామాన్యుడు. కడప నివాసి. ఒక పోలీసు. నమ్మలేరు కదూ. నందలూరులో ASI గా పనిచేసి VRS తీసుకున్న వ్యక్తి.
తాను పొదుపు చేసిన సొమ్ముతో కొంత భూమి ఏర్పాటు చేసుకుని ఈ ఆశ్రమం నిర్మించాడు. ఏదో స్కూల్ వాళ్ళు ఆ స్థలం కొంటామంటే ఒప్పుకోకుండా భూమి ఆశ్రమం పేరు మీద పెట్టేశాడు. ఆయనది జగమంత కుటుంబం.
చుట్టుపక్కల ఊళ్లలో లేదా బస్టాండు, రైల్వే స్టేషన్లలో దీనులు, హీనులు, మతిస్థిమితం లేని వారు కనపడితే వాళ్లను తీసుకు వచ్చి అక్కడ చేర్చే మంచి మనుషులు కూడా ఉన్నారు.
ఉద్యోగ విరమణ తర్వాత తన పూర్తి సమయాన్ని ఈ సేవకే అంకితం చేసిన గొప్ప వ్యక్తి.

Today, for the first time, Krishna waters are passing through the Veligonda tunnel - a moment generations of people in this drought-hit region have waited to see.

Thirty years ago, @ncbn garu laid the foundation for this transformational project. Tomorrow, he will dedicate Phase-I to the people and release 10.7 TMC of water into Nallamala Sagar. In Phase-I alone, Veligonda will bring irrigation to 1.19 lakh acres and drinking water to nearly 4 lakh people.

Watching the first waters emerge from the tunnel today is deeply emotional. This is more than an engineering achievement. It is a long-awaited lifeline for our farmers, our families and an entire region.
