Our forecast area has had 3-6"+ of rain since March 30th, which has significantly helped to improve the drought that had been ongoing since late summer 2025. All of our Indiana counties are now drought-free, with a small area of D1 Moderate Drought remaining in northwest Ohio.
March 31-April 1, 2023:
One of the largest tornado outbreaks ever recorded impacted parts of the Central, Southern, and Eastern United States. 147 tornadoes were confirmed, an astounding 44 of which were significant (EF2+). 26 people were killed and 225 were injured.

Water vapor imagery showing a potent low pressure moving over the Great Lakes region today. Widespread damaging wind gusts of 50-80mph has resulted in 1 MILLION customers without power. Over 600,000 of which are in Ohio.
The analyzed central pressure at 7 am EST was 966 mb. This is an estimated 41 mb drop in 24 hours compared to yesterday's analysis at the same of 1007 mb.
