I didn't realize when we released our game for PC and not on quest (yet)... we'd be punishing every streamer who played it. I'm truly sorry. I didn't think they would spam you too. But glad ppl are excited to play on standalone!
Im curious if other PCVR dev's games have higher than the median 10% refund rate. Things like players not knowing its vr, issues with headset connections, and testing it before a quest release account for over 30% of the listed refunds. We had plenty of fair criticism though.
Its been one week since VMX released. I had thought i was crunching before release... We had a bad issue caused by the vr compositor breaking in some configurations we didnt have in dev. But reviews are good and players love the game! I hope we can keep delivering #vmx#vrgames
Today I accomplished my goal for the last 12 years. I learned how to make something. Its not perfect, but it makes people happy, its different, and I'm proud. Now I'm going to make it awesome. Thanks for the ride.

Getting to show off VMX to a new audience today at the VR Games Showcase was so exciting. Chat seemed positive which is all I can ask for. Thursday is a big moment and I'm pumped for it
I'm getting an increasingly large amount of comments asking if my VR game is playable in VR. Upon asking them what they mean, its clear they don't even consider PCVR VR, which we put in all of our messaging now to seperate from standalone. Is this a common experience? #vrgamedev
@bmfshow I've been working on VMX. Its a VR BMX game with gestural controls for turning/doing tricks and a kingspray like paint system for player bikes/scooters. Its releasing on PCVR soon, but we got a standalone version coming too

@NathieVR Ug incentivized user reviews by providing in game currency for a review (as of october 2025). They don't care positive or negative. Technically this is against the meta story policy but several games do this
Is it normal when releasing an indie game for a large percentage of the comments to ask if its free? Is this the audience we've cultivated or is this just how game dev works now? #indiedev#gamedev
@gingasvr I don't soley blame the quest as a device. If you look at the games that succeed on the quest you see a trend. You see less Bone Labs/Half Life: Alyx and more social multiplayer games. Its chasing the roblox audience, but also limmits design choice due to multiplayer overhead.
I wonder if anyone has built a tool to track the lineage of news stories. See who put out information first, see who copied from who, see how editoralizing or new facts changed it. You could always find the root reporting, and know which authors plagerize or distort.

Working on some more streaming tools. Started on a snap chat clone in unreal. Face tracking is mostly there. Lens studio is frustrating to use and the lenses are sandboxed, so I wanted to move things closer to my pipeline so I can do more interactive stuff
