From the front lines:
The US built 888 miles of high-voltage line in 2024. DOE says we need 5,000/yr to meet demand.
When out in BFE, heavy grid stuff like towers, transformers, line, and equipment gets moved and placed by helicopter. Geography, time, and economics prohibit trucks and cranes. Helicopters are the only option.
There’s already not enough helicopters or pilots to meet last year’s demand… and nowhere near the amount to hit DOE’s target grid buildout. There’s less pilots every year. Less helicopters every year. And the only real supply are gov auctions and veterans.
This is where Dynamo will start. We believe it is vital to help the west build a grid for the next century. If we don’t all want to be speaking mandarin in 10 years, this is an industrial race we must win.
