2025 nearly broke me. But it also built me.
2025 was a tough year, one of the hardest seasons of my life.
It was marked by deep loss, painful moments, and unexpected trials. Yet, it was also a year that opened doors I never imagined.
I lost my twin sister. Just two weeks later, I lost a close friend who was also a father figure and my in-law. Around the same time, I fell seriously ill and was diagnosed with a stage 4 hiatal hernia. I will be undergoing surgery soon.
By all measures, this season could have broken me.
But God had other plans.
Out of the pain of losing my sister and my friends to cancer, a new passion was birthed in me; the desire to help others in tangible ways. That’s how #Boostar began. Through this platform, we organized car-wash fundraisers, built a platform to support those in need, washed over 500 cars, raised more than UGX 100 million, and participated in over five fundraising causes. What started as grief turned into service, and service turned into impact.
Together with my friend @bnzalima , we also launched a motorcycle (boda boda) dealership with a bold vision: a bike for every family. Not just as transport, but as a source of income and collateral for access to credit for the low income earners. In less than four months, we deployed over 300 motorcycles, and the journey is just beginning.
Through it all, I remained committed to my formal role as CEO at @questdigito , showing up, leading the team, and executing the mission “Digitizing people’s dreams”. Despite the challenges, we still achieved approximately 15% growth. That alone is a testimony to resilience and teamwork.
One of the greatest highlights of the year was the honor of sharing the same stage with the man in charge of the money in our pockets; the Governor of @BOU_Official, Dr. Michael Atingi-Ego. I also had the privilege of reconnecting with @AgaSekalala the @UMAChairman whom I last met six years ago when he was considering investing in @akellobanker . Through that interaction, I gained invaluable insight into what investors truly look for and the timing may now be right. You can now invest.
So, was 2025 a bad year or a good year?
Honestly, it depends on how you look at it.
I choose gratitude.
I thank God for carrying me through the storms, and I pray that 2026 will be a season of healing, abundance, and a bountiful harvest.
You can be part of this journey:
1.Invite us to support your fundraisers
