@FisherStudio Unzoned areas are simply those that CAL FIRE did not designate (state responsibility areas) or recommend (local/federal RA) as belonging to moderate, high, or very high fire hazard zones. Of course, fire hazard may still exist even in those areas classified as unzoned.

@jonbaker1968@ai6yrham Our understanding of CAL FIRE's classification is that urban unzoned areas have been evaluated for wildland fire hazard but do not fall into any of the categorized fire hazard severity zones.
