A private bus operating on the Thrissur–Kozhikode route reportedly killed two Tamil Nadu natives who were crossing the road in Edappal town today.

This is especially alarming because two major accidents have already occurred on this route in the past 10 days...one at Kuttippuram and another at Kunnamkulam. Yet the buses seem to be least concerned about speeding and reckless driving.

The accident today happened in one of the busiest parts of Edappal town. No bus or any other vehicle should be speeding through such a crowded area.

Bus-related accidents are becoming increasingly frequent. Urgent measures are needed before we lose many more innocent lives. @CMOKerala

Two Indian seafarers remain stranded for 12 months on vessel #PSD-1 at Port Bushehr, Iran.
In a war zone with continuous attacks nearby (within 100 metres). On 5 March, they jumped into the sea and swam to the port to save their lives — only to be forced back on board by the owner.
No salary for 12 months. No lights. No generator. Severe shortage of water and food. No repatriation.
They are living a life of imprisonment, abandoned like on a deserted island.
The Indian Embassy has issued an advisory for Indians to leave Iran. We strongly request that these two seafarers also be accommodated under the same advisory for their immediate repatriation.
