If you’re interested in using MCQs, here’s a recommended list. Brown et al and @dylanwiliam are brill. @daisychristo explains how they can be used to retrieve and also develop Ss understanding.@ProfKime outlines principles and @getdiagnostics has tons of MCQs. Enjoy! #tmengicons

[Mrs Pope @popemaths]

@vicky_maths Another shout out to @getdiagnostics

[Rebecca Latham @rebecca3001]

Thanks to @Arithmaticks for recommending https://t.co/hZNx9oZFaA - worked really well with @getdiagnostics for my Y11s today! #mathschat

[Mrs Jagger @JaggersMaths]

Huge thank you to @mrbartonmaths for allowing me to share this with you all.
Diagnostic questions has 1000s of MCQs. And while we are online learning, there are great benefits of students answering them online (automated marking, insights, etc) which is 100% free.

[Mrs Jagger @JaggersMaths]

Sharing something which I have found very useful over the last year; creating multiple choice quizzes using Diagnostic Questions @getdiagnostics and a template I have created.

Here is a short video below of one in action:

🎙️Research in Action 10🎙️

Dave Hewitt joins me to discuss when we should tell students something (versus discovery), subordination in developing fluency, & why arithmetic is impossible without algebra.

One of my favourite ever conversations 🧠📝🧮🍾🎉

[Craig Barton @mrbartonmaths]

Using everything we’ve learnt from Diagnostic Questions, we've created a new app, Eedi Family, that helps Year 7 children build confidence and skills in maths, at home. They can try if for free for 7 days

If it looks useful, please tell your Y7s.

[Notion For Teachers @NotionTeachers]

Credit to @mrbartonmaths @getdiagnostics for the questions 👌👍

[Victoria Musson @VictoriaMusson]

@deputygrocott Our homework is bespoke other than reading, TT rockstars/NumBots & optional project. We use @Showmyhomework and @Tapestry_FSF to gap close through pre and post teaching and assessment using @getdiagnostics. We focus on parental engagement & family time using @Cornerstonesedu too

[Kathryn Clark @Arithmaticks]

@mrshawthorne7 We've got a 'live marking table' in every room and can ask stuents to come out to it to look at their book or offer some help (from distance) whenever we like in the lesson.
Also using a lot more @getdiagnostics #mathscpdchat

[Mr S @cshakespeare123]

@Arithmaticks Started using cards in planners with multiple choice questions from @getdiagnostics before putting students on a task, still trying to find efficient ways to assess without lending whiteboard equipment out or being able to monitor work closely. #mathscpdchat

[Joshua Perry @bringmoredata]

I'm a week or two late to this, but here's a really nice blog from @mrbartonmaths from @HelloEedi on their origins story which culminated in recent funding from @LEGO_Ventures.

Founders project optimism externally but there are dark days along the way.

🚨Free Resources 🚨

I've written a series of @getdiagnostics quizzes for Year 7 students to identify gaps, & @OxfordEdMaths have provided free resources to help plug those gaps.

All available here: https://t.co/CgEEEseGX0

I really hope you and your students find them useful.

[Charlotte Hawthorne @mrshawthorne7]

I really enjoy reading the summer school insights emails from @mrbartonmaths and @HelloEedi
I’ve saved all of the emails as they’re great to help with planning for error.

What do you think was the most popular answer to this question? (Spoiler:it’s not the right answer!)
