@rajmichaelsfit Prepped meals ahead of time for the week. Knew exactly how much I was eating each week and didn't have to think about it. Fat melted off after that.
@DeanTTraining If you're not shaking like a MFer & as close to shitting yourself without actually shitting yourself on the final few reps, then you're not working hard enough.
@Joe_No_One@anymanfitness If your point is that our ancestors ate fewer highly processed foods, we agree. But you also said they ate lower carbs and that healthy carbs aren’t optimal. Those are separate claims.
Which ancestors and from what period are you talking about? “Our ancestors” covers different populations eating very different diets. Humans were processing starchy plants long before agriculture, and bread, potatoes, rice, and other grains have been staples for thousands of years.
Not counting calories doesn’t establish that they ate fewer carbs or that fewer carbs explains their health. You’re taking a criticism of highly processed foods and turning it into a claim about carbohydrates generally.
“Healthy carbs can be fine, even if not optimal”. Optimal for what, and compared with what?
Food quality matters, but so does quantity. People can underestimate how much they’re eating regardless of whether their diet is high or low in carbs. Not counting calories doesn’t mean calories stopped counting and it doesn’t make carbohydrates the problem.
@rajmichaelsfit You're ROM is good. You're most at risk of a distal tear when your arm is straight / hyperextended and loaded.
Stop short of lockout, slow down your reps, focus more on resisting the weight on the eccentric and keep full control, don't "bounce" the weight.
