@reduzio @programaths The ideal visual programming system should allow a mix of both nodes and custom code, some algorithms are almost impossible to implement with nodes only and some code is best hidden within nodes. With a code node you empower both coders and non-coders.

Had some time to try out my old real-time path tracer ( RayFlex ) on an RTX 4090 and made some visual improvements while I was at it. Runs 25x faster than the laptop I developed it on 5 years ago. Latest image on the left. 3 billion ray bounces per second.

#mclaren #artura Little retirement gift to myself after resigning from Snap recently. New 2023 McLaren Artura, vermillion red, full carbon fiber, custom pin striped rims. 0-60 in under 3 secs. 6 months late but had a couple weeks of good weather with it!

@opinali @SebAaltonen @inscothen @NVIDIAGeForce They’ve had GPU-based SBVH real-time building algorithms for years, not sure who’s using them but NVidia wrote papers on it a long time ago and I’ve even implemented it for testing.
