BREAKING: Venezuela has been discussing leaving OPEC with US officials, per Bloomberg.

This comes amid reports that the US is negotiating a deal to take a large stake in Venezuelan oil fields.

Some US officials reportedly envision an “oil powerhouse” built from an alliance between the US and Venezuela that would greatly diminish OPEC’s influence.

OPEC appears to be on the verge of losing its second member in four months.

It's official now! The United States 🇺🇸, through OFAC, has created licenses 48A & 49A, authorizing any American company to supply technology, services, and operations for the Venezuelan electrical system.

This includes generation, transmission, storage, and distribution of electricity.

In other words: U.S. Bitcoin mining companies can invest directly, reactivate thermoelectric plants, stabilize the grid, and prevent collapses, just as I've proposed.

The proposal to finance the reactivation of the energy sector without debt or monetary issuance through Joint Ventures with American Bitcoin mining & energy companies is taking shape.

These licenses are step one to privatize Venezuelan energy markets and eventually be able to lock-in long term PPAs to generate, transmit, and sell energy.

Venezuela needs at least 2 GW and ~$2B to double oil production to 2M bpd. With this, we go from 8 GW to the Guri’s hydro dam max capacity of 10.2 GW. We upgrade and turn on our thermal plants we’ll produce 30-36 GW total, covering the 13 GW max national demand.

This would reactivate our industry and support millions of Venezuelans going back home.

The end result is significant: zero blackouts, Venezuela as an energy powerhouse. Bitcoin mining isn't the end, but the catalyst for a win-win: Venezuelans, industry, foreign companies, and the State.

The sleeping South American Bitcoin mining giant is awakening! 🇻🇪
