This was my era. Class of 98.
Just a bunch of teenagers with a camcorder, zero idea what the future held, and absolutely no clue how much we’d miss this someday.
If you could go back for one day in high school, would you do it?
This is the most incredible visual I’ve seen yet that settles the argument and destroys the propaganda narrative brilliantly. It’s so well done.
The hill starts as tents and smoke under David. The Temple goes up. Babylon burns it. The Jews build it again. Rome knocks it down. A church appears. Then, more than sixteen centuries after that first Jewish city on the ridge, a caliph rides in and a golden dome is planted on the platform.
That’s the whole argument in motion. The people who keep being told they showed up in 1948 are the ones who were cutting stone here while the rest of the claimants weren’t even a people yet. Empires rotate through the frame. The name on the hill doesn’t. It is Jewish, then it is occupied, then it’s Jewish again. And it will remain Jewish forever as it always was.
I already knew whose city it was. The video just makes the lie harder to say out loud.
