From @FMcAveety: Tomorrow, Labour will back the change for Notre Dame High School to become co-educational. This decision was not taken lightly, we met with representatives of the campaign groups & waited for the final consultation results before coming to a decision.
David McLaren from EKOS now talking about the sustained leadership and investment in Glasgow’s culture and sport - and how that has transformed our city. We are truly a global city #GlasgowForTheMany
@ConsultSuzie@scottishlabour@GlasgowLabour Thank you Suzie. Your presentation was very interesting and thought provoking. A drive to end inequality and tackling child poverty must be at the heart of all that we do.
A joyous Eid Mubarak to Muslims in Glasgow and around the world today, as they celebrate Eid al-Adha. The strength of our city is its diversity, and we build a great city together. #EidMubarak
Another good shift this evening...with @FMcAveety and @shettlestonclp taking Labour's message round the doors in #GlasgowEast 🌹Voters keen for change & for a Lab Gov that will work #ForTheMany
On SERCO evicting 300 in Glasgow.
Two points:
1. This was entirely predictable when the contract moved to private hands, and we warned of it.
2. The fault lies ENTIRELY with the Home Office for actively pursuing a policy of destitution - this is the culmination of that policy.
This is an inhumane decision.
SERCO must be called out but ultimately it's the Home Office that we must hold accountable & put pressure on. It's their policy choices that have brought us to this situation, we must not forget that. #RefugeesMakeGlasgow.

Glad to see such widespread condemnation and cross-party support in opposition to Serco's brutal policy of changing the locks on properties across Glasgow, forcing at least 300 asylum seekers in to homeless. Read below:⬇️
Disappointed that Glasgow has missed out on becoming the new site for @Channel4's HQ.
I've always believed that our diverse city would've been a perfect home for such a groundbreaking broadcaster.
It is welcome though, that we are still in contention to gain a Creative Hub 🎥 https://t.co/9gjQTki09A
Today I supported @Garnethill_drg in their peaceful protest for brief access to their properties. 5 weeks on and looking to be a lot longer. 10-20 minutes is all they are asking for.
This is a brilliant announcement for Glasgow today, that will finally kick-start the regeneration of Tradeston as a new city quarter on the south bank of the Clyde. It is a huge opportunity for the city to create a vibrant riverfront along the Broomielaw. https://t.co/NQBHImSQIt
