@SenBooker Women and children are living in fear in their own homes, yet NJ is slashing funding for victims of domestic violence. Don't forget about them.
@GovSherrillNJ@NJDHS What about closing the gap on VOCA funding for crime victims, too? Irresponsible funding decisions have decimated services for victims of domestic violence in our state.
@mcuban And, no bang for the buck. A parade of specialists come in to see a patient, they stay for 30 seconds and do nothing, then bill Medicare in the thousands. Add reduced/insufficiently trained staff, the elderly are suffering under this system.
@nua_peasant Perfectly stated. There is no respect for the aged in our society & not enough resources for them or their caregivers. The level of care in hospitals & rehabs is frightening. If family isn't there to take care of basic hygiene or help with meals, it doesn't happen.
@SavvyAuntie@yashar π€£ Same! I had one family of four, and the parents would often go out for the daaaay...I'd get there at breakfast time they wouldn't roll in until 3am! And, not one call to ck on things either--how times have changed!
@alisonmartino Agree! He deserved it.
FWIW, I'd like to see more clips throughout the night, too, like they used to do...it's what got me interested in seeing some of the classics. The Bond tribute should've been all film clips, not a cringey musical number.
@Andy Consider @apfcnj https://t.co/mGZaNMbcGJ They offer education, counseling & prevention programs in NJ high schools to help teens who are victims of dating abuse or who are exposed to violence at home. They're also facing a 40% cut in Victims of Crime Act funding.
@BernieSanders Agreed. All this and yet the shameful 40% cut in VOCA funding to help crime victims. The CVF was very well funded...why did Congress raid the fund?
Facing a 40% cut in VOCA funding, APFC needs your support to keep their #TeenDatingAbuse prevention program running. Pls help if you can: https://t.co/bDZwq7VLJu #GivingTuesday
@VivekGRamaswamy May I add an item to your to-do list? What happened to the $$ in the Crime Victims Fund? Non-profs who work with victims (& account for every PENNY spent) were hit with a 32% cut last yr & told to expect a 40% cut next year. The CVF (not tax payer dollars) was flush!
@Bloomingdales A customer service question: What would you do if a customer ordered an expensive gift for a special occasion & it was delivered without the gift card and unwrapped?
@News12NJ VAWA funding has been stagnant for 10+ years & VOCA funds were cut by 30% last year (passed through the NJDL&PS). Is there a plan to boost financial support to NJ non-profits so we can meet the demand for services from crime victims? #AskGovMurphy
