El pasado 5 y 6 de agosto de 2025, en Bogotá - Colombia, el Fondo Monetario Internacional (FMI), el Banco de la República (Colombia) y el Fondo Latinoamericano de Reservas (FLAR) llevaron a cabo la conferencia de la IMF Economic Review "From Micro to Macro: Leveraging Microdata to Address Macroeconomic Issues".

Durante dos días, hacedores de política y académicos internacionales discutieron cómo los datos microeconómicos pueden aportar al análisis macroeconómico y guiar decisiones de política pública.

En un contexto donde la disponibilidad y la granularidad de los datos crecen a un ritmo acelerado, en este espacio se presentaron investigaciones de vanguardia que muestran la importancia de este tipo de información para responder preguntas relevantes en esta coyuntura de grandes desafíos económicos globales.
