GNLU જેવી પ્રતિષ્ઠિત સંસ્થાના એક વિદ્યાર્થીની આત્મહત્યાની ઘટના અત્યંત દુઃખદ: અભાવિપ

પાછલા ઘણા સમયથી વિદ્યાર્થીઓને પડતી તકલીફો દૂર કરવામાં GNLU પ્રસાશન નિષ્ફળ, વિદ્યાર્થીહિત ધ્યાને લઇ પગલાં અતિઆવશ્યક.

ગાંધીનગર ખાતે આવેલી ગુજરાત નેશનલ લો યુનિવર્સિટી (GNLU) ગત 17 માર્ચના રોજ યુનિવર્સિટી ખાતે અભ્યાસરત વિદ્યાર્થીએ પોતાનું જીવન ટૂંકાવ્યું હતું. આ દુઃખદ ઘટના પાછળ યુનિવર્સિટી પ્રસાશનની નિષ્ફળતા તથા એક શૈક્ષણિક સંકુલમાં ઉપલબ્ધ હોવી જોઈએ તેવી પ્રાથમિક સુવિધાઓનો સ્પષ્ટ અભાવ જોવા મળ્યો હતો. GNLU ખાતે બનેલા પાછલા થોડા બનાવો તંત્રની બેદરકારી દર્શાવી રહ્યા છે. થોડા સમય પેહલા એક વિદ્યાર્થીની દ્વારા યુનિવર્સિટીના પ્રાધ્યાપક સામે છેડતી તથા શોષણના આરોપો હોઈ કે પછી જીવાત અને જીવ-જંતુ દૂર કરવામાં પ્રસાશન ની નકામી હોઈ, આ બધા બનાવો યુનિવર્સિટી પ્રસાશનની વિદ્યાર્થીઓના પ્રશ્નને ગંભીરતાથી ન લેતું હોઈ તેવું સ્પષ્ટ કરે છે.

રાષ્ટ્રીય સ્તરની પ્રતિષ્ઠિત યુનિવર્સિટી ખાતે તંત્રની આ પ્રકારની લાપરવાહી અત્યંત ચિંતાજનક છે. અભાવિપ ગુજરાત, રાજ્ય સરકારના શિક્ષણ વિભાગ તથા કેન્દ્રીય શિક્ષણ અને કાયદા વિભાગને પણ GNLU પ્રસાશનની ખામીઓની નોંધ લઇ, એક સમિતિની રચના કરી તેને સુધારવા હેતુ માંગ કરે છે. અભાવિપ ગુજરાત પરિવાર જીવ ગુમાવનાર વિદ્યાર્થીને શ્રદ્ધાંજલી પાઠવે છે તથા દુઃખની આ ઘડી સહન કરવાની શક્તિ ભગવાન શોકાકુળ પરિવારને અર્પે તેવી પ્રાર્થના કરે છે.
