@MerylWingfield Yes 👍 use whatever you have that looks ready; if it’s nice crumbly soily looking stuff then it’ll be perfect👌 plus by occasionally ‘turning’ the heap with a garden fork you’ll get more air into it which aids the breakdown process - but all composting really needs is patience 😺
