I have helped 500+ accounts, and the same pattern appears often:
Posting more does not fix an unclear X strategy.
The accounts that create better opportunities usually have a system behind the posts:
- a profile that explains the value clearly
- content pillars that build a recognizable point of view
- audience and competitor research
- useful replies in the right conversations
- a daily engagement routine
- a way to turn interest into a real conversation
- a weekly review that connects X activity to business outcomes
I turned that framework into the X Growth Playbook.
It is a practical guide for people who want organic, human-led X growth. No bots, fake engagement, or follower promises.
Comment GROWTH and I'll send you the X Growth Playbook.
Musk says a new X ranking model predicts time spent better, and a retrieval model is trained to find posts people read all the way through. X hasn't said how much that counts against likes and replies.
My read: don't write longer. Cut what people skip.

An Upwork review from May 2022, back when X was still Twitter.
This client came in knowing what they wanted. Clear targets make the rest of the work a lot simpler.
X is testing an invite-only bonus of up to $3,000 for creators who post 15 original vertical videos on 15 different days within 30 days. No view targets.
The rule I'd notice: videos already posted on other apps count if they carry no watermark. If you already film short clips, posting the clean file on X costs you almost nothing.

@ThePeterMick Most founders read excellent marketing as a big ad budget. On X it's usually just the founder showing up every day with what they learned building the thing.
X's Grok Bot can now search posts on X and watch for mentions of your brand. You ask it in plain words and it pulls the conversations.
Finding the people talking about your product just got easier. Replying to them in a way that sounds like you is still the part that takes real time.

This one is from an Upwork client in 2024 who started with a brand new X account.
At that stage the work is mostly getting the profile and first posts right before anyone is watching.
@RuzTV A generic marketer usually runs X like a schedule of posts. The startups that win there have someone who's in the replies every day and knows who they're trying to reach.
@asmartbear Number 3 is the rare one. Most cold asks on X read like the same message sent to fifty people, so the one that clearly did the research stands out fast.
