@cblatts@yuenyuenang@kopalo I share the same focus on those intractable problems. And it’s great to have work like yours that help us engage them! That’s what PDIA is meant to help with too!
@cblatts@yuenyuenang@kopalo I’m also serious about anyone wanting to get experience doing PDIA. It’s the only way to really engage. I think there are huge limits to just observing complexity. Come play with the PDIA teams!!!! You’ll love it! Hope all well Chris!
@cblatts@yuenyuenang@kopalo I get it! there is lots of theory on engaging complex challenges tho (not just explaining them) + much is embedded in PDIA, which has been applied to micro + macro problems (with some best cases on growth). Being practical (which we emphasize) doesn’t mean being a-theoretical.
@yuenyuenang@kopalo@cblatts Unsure if the PDIA approach lacks a theoretical foundation as suggested here? Regardless I welcome all of you to join teams actually doing PDIA in practice to see how it works (and how its theoretical roots connect to reality).
Development policy and management is about policy work governments undertake to improve or discover what’s new … how do we do that is the question? https://t.co/KN4dostXeD
Redefining development policy and management: It is less about countries or geographically located people and more about the challenges policy actors face – in all countries and geographies – that require an element of change for novelty and improvement. https://t.co/KN4dostXeD
Apply for Strategies for Inclusive Growth by March 25, 2024!
This @HKSExecEd program, led by @ricardo_hausman and @governwell, will equip you with the framework, tools, and networks to drive inclusion-driven economic policy to advance shared prosperity ▶️ https://t.co/ixM391Nwwe
I've suggested Problem-Driven Iterative Adaptation offers a better route to school improvement.
This great case @HarvardBSC study shows how @funda_wande's programme design and authorisation approach followed PDIA principles.
