A valley is a part of a mountainous region. There are many valleys in the state of Manipur.

Khoupum Valley, Khuga Valley (Churachandpur), Chandel Town, Sajik Tampak, Bunning Meadows, Kangpokpi along the Sekmai River are all valleys. There are also many smaller low-lying areas in the region.

Manipur is a hill state, and the concept of hill areas in Article 371C is flawed and archaic. We need to rethink the legal fiction of Article 371C.
