Personal update: I've joined Anthropic. I think the next few years at the frontier of LLMs will be especially formative. I am very excited to join the team here and get back to R&D. I remain deeply passionate about education and plan to resume my work on it in time.

Each sentence to the next sounds reasonable, but the big points don't hold which makes the whole thing fall apart, e.g.,
- The “same company sells capability + governance” loop is not inevitable here. If this were true, we wouldn't have a massive cybersecurity industry
- The scary “capability and threat are same artifact” point actually argues against model-vendor-owned governance. If the model is both powerful and dangerous, many enterprises will prefer governance that is _external_ and separate
