@hotdog_y2k@bandanakin@SurreMediaFacts That eventually became an established standard that today describes the cue messages that are sent completely separate from audio and video. Today that standard is used in internet streaming as well. https://t.co/gNDKG21ZYA
@hotdog_y2k@bandanakin@SurreMediaFacts They're also used on major networks to signal local ad insertion. When the station is playing an ad for something local to your area, that's not Nick, that's the cable TV company that Nick signalled to do it. On old tapes you'll hear the tones about 15-30 seconds before ad break.
Liberals will ask, "Why can't you just enjoy it?" at the same time other Liberals post, "Everything I do in life is with the intention of making you miserable".
People are not angry because they can't enjoy things. They are angry because they correctly understand that the things they once loved are being converted into weapons for an ideology that hates them.
There is a very obvious sadistic side to Progressivism's hijacking of things like movies and video games. These people do not love the media they're destroying. They're not trying to make something good. They just want revenge against the normal world.
They want the actual fans to feel alienated and dispossessed. That's the entire point.
And every so often, someone is bold enough to admit it.
@liambrefberinn Ew, you want Node.js and react in your BIOS?😜
I suppose you could set up an emulator like QEMU and try to fit that into CoreBOOT for fun.
@brockpierson - Funny comedy skits
- The Jerky boys and prank phone calls
- Radio stations making funny parody songs or funny things
- Random foreign songs because I was bored of mainstream music at the time
- That song about Barney the purple dinosaur on fire😂
@SiliconForested Installing Linux in 1999: If I modify my XFree86 config the right way and write the correct modelines I might get it to actually work with my PCI video card and monitor. The distribution has a script to automate this by asking a bunch of questions though.
@Rhonin_df@nym Laptops and mobile devices have Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. There exist APIs to send and receive raw packets on those interfaces. What could you form among those for resilient decentralized communication?
@davepl1968 Grab DOSBox-X and an actual copy of Windows 3.1 and you could run the software with a VM that's the equivalent of a mid 1990s 486 with less resources.
@A_Absol_Enjoyer@xsphi Here's a teenager that's not incompetent, in fact, seems pretty mature. Your broad stroke against all teenagers is wrong. Stop being so ageist against teens. https://t.co/CIAyw7Q58P
My car battery died in the grocery store parking lot yesterday and I was standing there googling “how to look like you know what you’re doing under a car hood” when one of the teenage employees came outside on break and asked if I needed help.
I told him I was waiting for roadside assistance and he goes, “That could take forever, do you have jumper cables?”
I said no.
This kid disappears for like two minutes and comes back with his own cables from his car. Jumped my battery in under five minutes like he was in a NASCAR pit crew.
But the part that got me?
@A_Absol_Enjoyer@xsphi Second issue is using "all teens are morons" to help justify keeping them off of the internet entirely, then saying that since >90% of internet usage is social media, and "nobody" ever visits anything off that list, that the internet is social media and therefore bad for you.
@A_Absol_Enjoyer@xsphi My main issue is that you think all teenagers are incompetent morons aka "retards" and I think that's far from true. Perhaps some lack life experience. Surely many are competent in something by that age and learning more by the day.
@A_Absol_Enjoyer@xsphi Facebook today is a popular place for old people to post about their old hobbies and share their stupid Minions memes 🤣 The younger generation left long ago.
