I mean, what is a way that you've gotten into my business and you have unlocked something?"

Really enjoyed chatting with Adam Hammer, the CEO and GP at Roadrunner Ventures. His experience working with founders and builders at the earliest phases is very unique, and his pattern matching ability is second to none. At also puts him and Roadrunner in a position where they can be one of the most value-add investors on your cap table.

We talk about this all the time in the fundraising process on how founders should take control of the fundraising process themselves. One of them is asking VCs how they can truly provide value other than capital. Sometimes it feels awkward and embarrassing because founders oftentimes feel as though they are not in control of the process. It is important for founders to get to know the partners that they will be spending the next decade with and what those partners can bring to the table for them.

Today’s Supreme Court decision effectively guts a key pillar of the Voting Rights Act, freeing state legislatures to gerrymander legislative districts to systematically dilute and weaken the voting power of racial minorities - so long as they do it under the guise of “partisanship” rather than explicit “racial bias.” And it serves as just one more example of how a majority of the current Court seems intent on abandoning its vital role in ensuring equal participation in our democracy and protecting the rights of minority groups against majority overreach.

The good news is that such setbacks can be overcome. But that will only happen if citizens across the country who cherish our democratic ideals continue to mobilize and vote in record numbers - not just in the upcoming midterms or in high profile races, but in every election and every level.

@steipete This is why I switched to cmux, way better at memory. Also found that any terminal with a server running in it needs a clear every once it a while or it won’t release the memory.
