@Hawkcable @KariLake Yes, they are. Democracy might exist without citizens bearing arms, but you cannot prevent tyranny without being armed. The U.S. isn't 1st in "mass killings", not even "mass shootings" when looked at per capita. FAR more lives are saved than harmed by guns per the FBI.

@davidhogg111 FBI data shows people with firearms (including AR-15s) SAVE more people than harm them. Handguns are used in more mass shootings than any type of rifle. Far more are murdered with knives or bare hands. Why ban something that does far more good than harm?
