@BlakeMusicTeach It's really nice to know that after years of elearning being a foreign concept to most people, it is now mainstream. I think that it is now inevitable for us teachers to keep up with the latest trends in elearning for our classrooms. #wuedt6020

Elearning has been around for years but it has become more mainstream and ubiquitous in the last two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Is elearning here to stay? #wuedt6020
@ChallburgTeach I agree. I really appreciate how elearning keeps things fresh and innovative for both students and educators. The more technology evolves, elearning and edtech will surely follow. #wuedt6020
@HannumKendra I think that mobile learning should be integrated as a complement to classrooms and not a 100% replacement for instruction so meaningful learning will take place. This is a form of personalization in education that often gets overlooked. #wuedt6020
@khainsey22 By using several edtech tools in my classrooms like Padlet and GDocs, I noticed that my students and even colleagues are more collaborative and receptive to feedback. It's another testament to how edtech is a great equalizer. #wuedt6020
@ChallburgTeach@McCoolWILMu My favorite Web2.0 tool is Padlet, a tool I discovered in one of my earlier EDT classes. I like the interface and customizability of the tool that fosters and encourages my students' creativity and collaboration. #wuedt6020
@khainsey22@EdTechLaura These opportunities and possibilities for students are examples of how edtech is a great equalizer in education. We as teachers should utilize edtech and tech tools to create meaningful learning experiences for our students. #wuedt6020
@SchafflerCHS@EdTechLaura Accessibility is one of the advantages which I think edtech has over traditional learning. It has become more evident as schools shifted to online/hybrid learning during the pandemic. It's another proof that edtech shouldn't be ignored by educators and policymakers. #wuedt6020
@EdTechLaura I think EdTech is better than traditional learning but ultimately they should complement each other to make education more accessible, relevant, and meaningful. The pandemic has made EdTech more mainstream and classrooms more accessible and flexible. #wuedt6020
@MrKppnhvr@EdTechLaura@McCoolWILMu Hey Matt! It's exciting to see a number of us in our class who are interested in gamification. I've used https://t.co/qoLO4RrOgF before and I find it very useful as a replacement or complement to both introducing lessons and as a summative evaluation tool. Good luck! #wuedt6020
@ShannonZeccola@EdTechLaura@McCoolWILMu Shannon, I think that incorporating SEL and gamification in your classes is a great idea. I know that SEL goes hand-in-hand with gamification as it adds several layers to it thus creating a holistic approach to learning. #wuedt6020
@EdTechLaura@McCoolWILMu Gamification is an emerging trend that I'm exploring to implement in my classroom. I think that adult learners will benefit a lot in gamification given the way it makes learning fun, easy, interactive, and interesting. #wuedt6020
@HannumKendra Hi Kendra! Thank you. Elearning has been my specialty for most of my career and I love that more and more educators are seeing the value of it. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions.
