AN EPIDEMIC OF MEITEI TERRORISTS

Both pushed into India by the increasing military attacks launched on their Myanmar bases by anti-junta forces, and pulled into the ongoing ethnic violence in Manipur where they are leading and training Meitei armed radicals, there has been a great influx of Meitei terrorists into Indian soil since May 3. This has been confirmed both by army intelligence as well as incidents of terrorist attacks on Zo civilians. The continuous arrests of these terrorists in the Imphal Valley at regular intervals indicates their huge presence in the area. Just in the month of November, there were over 6 cases of arrest of these Meitei terrorists.

Some of these include:

Nov 3 : One UNLF (Pambei) terrorist was arrested by security forces from Nambashi Khullen in Kamjong District.

Nov 14 : One KYKL terrorist was arrested by security forces while he was engaged in extorting huge money from civilians. One 9mm pistol, 2 magazines, and four mobile phones were recovered from the terrorist.

Nov 15 : One Meitei terrorist, suspected to also be a member of the Arambai Tenggol, was arrested from Imphal West district. He was found in possession of one .32 pistol, a state-issue bulletproof helmet and vest, and a Mahindra THAR Jeep without registration number. The gun and bulletproofs are believed to be the ones given away from police stations.

Nov 22 : Security forces arrested 2 active cadres of the PREPAK Pro from the Imphal Valley. Two INSAS LMG, 8 magazines, 161 ammunition of 5.56 mm INSAS LMG, 9mm Pistol, a wireless handset, and one Tata Nexon car without registration number were recovered from the terrorists.

Nov 25 : One active PREPAK terrorist was arrested by security forces from Imphal West district while he was extorting money from the general public.

Nov 29 : The above case of two PREPAK terrorists who were arrested yesterday.

The huge presence of Meitei terrorists in the Valley districts and their possession of not just their foreign-procured weapons but also the thousands of automatic guns given out from police stations presents an almost insurmountable obstacle to achieving peace in Manipur. The Eastern Command chief of the Indian army himself has stated this fact and emphasized the need to recover the over 6000 weapons given away to Meitei militants and mobs. For this, and in light of the growing presence of proscribed terrorists in the Valley districts, security forces need to be adequately empowered by reimposing the AFSPA in the Valley districts.

COCOMI warns the Indian government?
This is just looking at the speck of sawdust in someone's eye and paying no attention to the plank in his eye

How about the UNLF(P) who recently signed a peace agreement with the Govt. on 29th Nov. 2023?, they are actively involved in attacking Kuki villages and allegedly involved in the recent Imphal violence, whereby 1 person was killed at the AMSU office bomb blast incident.

If just 3 months of UNLF(P) surrenderees can break so many ground rules, almost 2 decades old the SoO agreement can be regarded as messengers of peace.

Since the signing of the SoO agreement between the Kuki group and both state/central Govt. in 2008, the Kuki groups never attacked central forces and waged war against any particular community in the state.

There is no point for the MHA to abrogate the SoO agreement, just because of COCOMI's memorandum. Rather this Meitei organization is the one who openly declared war against the Kuki-Zo tribal.

Now they warned and threatened the Union Government. How long does the centre have to be a mute spectator?

The Medical Team from Naga Hospital, Nagaland has reached Saikul, Kangpokpi District.

Thank you to our Naga brothers for contacting the unreached Kuki_Zo people in medical facilities.
