The functions of the whole reside in the motions of its elements. But the whole is not just the sum of the elements. That's why I study living systems through single-molecule imaging🔬

I attended CBMI-II held at Hong Kong Polytechnic Univ. and delivered a talk, kindly invited by Prof. Bengang @Xing_Group_NTU.
I sincerely thank Bengang and his group members for giving me the opportunity to join the great symposium and for their extremely warm hospitality.
The Lin Lab is hiring!
We're seeking motivated postdocs for projects on voltage imaging and optogenetics in the brain.
If you're excited about using new methods to undersatand and correct brain diseases, working together with other neuroscience labs at Stanford, drop us a line!
Trilled to announce the 2nd International Symposium on Chemical & Biomedical Imaging (CBMI-II), https://t.co/tB102MFzsV, May 27-29, 2026, in Hong Kong PolyU. Plz make plans now to enjoy science & sightseeing in Hong Kong 😀😀

I came across a new textbook on light microscopy authored by Jeremy Sanderson; it looks like the essence has been extracted from "Understanding Light Microscopy"?

Does anyone know how to reduce the fluctuation of the frame rate in microscope observation using the Micro-Manager?
I'm struggling to capture video-rate movies at a constant frame rate, but the frame rate still fluctuates even in the virtual camera.
How can I overcome this?
